STEMSTER is a reliable variety under different climatic conditions. It produces large red tubers with pale yellow flesh.
This potato has a medium late maturity and a very high yield.
Stemster’s eyes are shallow and produce a regular potato that is easy to peel.
It has good cooking qualities and is ideal for french fries, gratins, mashed potatoes, soups and baking. Its taste is very appreciated and reminds us of the land.
The Stemster variety performs very well in long-term storage (6 to 8 months after harvest).
As far as diseases are concerned, the Stemster potato is very resistant to wart disease (pathovar 1).
On the garden market, the Stemster potato can also be found under the brand name ‘Prospère’. It is known to be easy to grow.
