TOPAZE, the high yielding red potato!

TOPAZE is a very productive red skinned and yellow fleshed potato.

Born in 2020 in Châteauneuf-du-Faou (29), at the Germicopa Research Station, TOPAZE is the fruit of a long process of 10 years during which research, respectful of nature’s cycles, will select the best potato varieties according to agronomic, commercial and taste criteria.

TOPAZE is semi-early and shows remarkable yield performance both in Europe and on major exports.

On the large export market, it can be used both in season and post-season crops.

It produces an average of twelve to fourteen tubers of a very good size.

TOPAZE is not very sensitive to shocks and skin diseases and has a very beautiful presentation.

  • YONA is a pale red skin variety producing very big tubers regular size.
  • The crop cycle of YONA is rather long but its yield is very high, superior to Désirée.
  • Excellent at storage, gifted of some key diseases resistances such as blight (very high resistance) which makes it an “environmental friendly “variety.
  • YONA is a variety Very well adapted to the so-called “traditional markets".
